We have been blessed with great music over the years at First Church. For the 30 years, Dr. Albin Whitworth has been "making music" and directing a wonderful chancel choir. When you come hear the music at our worship services, it is truly a "glorious experience." Many members have discovered the joy of singing in our choirs and worshipping God through the various music programs of the church. 5th Sunday Musicale 5th Sundays at First Church are celebrations of music that people come from miles around to experience. The Chancel Choir directed by Dr. Albin C. Whitworth has been putting on these presentations every time there is a 5th Sunday in a month for years. The Sunday has a following that attracts visitors that only come for these wonderful celebrations. Come join us on the next 5th Sunday Musicalle.

Chancel Choir Director: Dr. Albin C. Whitworth The Chancel Choir provides weekly music for our worship services and for special occasions such as Christmas and Easter. Fifth Sundays are special music Sundays for which the Chancel Choir provides leadership. Rehearsals are at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday evenings in the choir room. If you are interested, please join us.

Children's Choirs Coordinator: Katie Whitworth Children's choirs provide musical learning activities for children ages three through grade five. The following choirs are available: - Cherub Choir (ages 3,4 & 5) - Carol Choir (grades K - 2) For video click here [Video] - Wesley Singers (grades 3 - 5) Children's choirs meet at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesdays (September - May).

Jubilee Singers Director: Sarah Lynn Reeves The Jubilee Singers is a ladies vocal ensemble which adds special music each season of the year. Besides singing for our morning worship services, this group sings in nursing homes, retirement centers, and hospitals spreading the good news of Jesus Christ. Glorious Rebellion Director: Sarah Lynn Reeves This choir offers an opportunity to "make a joyful noise" even if you can’t sing! Adult hand bells rehearse from 6:00 - 7:00 P.M. on Wednesdays. All are welcome, but the ability to read music is a definite asset.
