the Charge Conference at 10:30 a.m. in the Sanctuary of First United
Methodist Church. |

CALL TO
ORDER |

Foster Ockerman, Jr., Administrative
Council Chair, passed out a copy of a resolution submitted to the Charge
Conference by the Finance Committee and said, “I so move: ·
"BE IT
RESOLVED, that the general sentiment of the First Church Finance
Committee, to wit, that the current bonds in the parsonage fund be sold and
the proceeds invested in appreciating assets, be confirmed and that the First
Church Endowment Foundation be and is authorized and directed to sell said
bonds and invest the proceeds in appreciating assets and, from time to time,
such assets as the Board of Stewards in its discretion should
determine." BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the second paragraph of the resolution passed by the Charge
Conference dated July 21, 1994
be dissolved.” |

Dr. Al Gwinn asked if there were any
questions? ·
Ernie Stamper asked if
the second paragraph of the 1994 Charge Conference resolution were to be
deleted, would that, in any way, cause a change in the budget? Dr. Gwinn responded
by saying, “no it would not”. Dr. Gwinn said due to the fact the motion
came from committee it did not require a second and followed by asking the
Charge Conference if they were ready to receive the question. All in favor – aye and those opposed –
nay. APPROVED. |

Dr. Al Gwinn asked the Charge Conference:
“All in favor of the stated motion to signify by saying aye, those opposed
signify by saying nay. There being no
opposition the motion was APPROVED. |
